Hi, I’m LaShon James-Major, founder of The Document Diva.

Since 2004, I’ve helped attorneys, businesses, families, and individuals manage important documents with clarity, professionalism, and care. What began as mobile notary work has grown into a full range of specialized document services—including court and public record retrieval, nationwide apostille coordination, jail notarizations, specialty notary services, and certified translations.

My clients often come to me when the paperwork is important, the process is unfamiliar, or they do not have the time to manage every detail themselves. My job is to make the next step clearer and the entire process easier.

How I Became The Document Diva

No one grows up dreaming of becoming a Notary Public—but life has a way of leading us to work that fits.

After starting my professional journey in Corporate America, I realized I wanted more freedom, flexibility, and the chance to build something of my own. I earned several professional licenses, including those of notary public, tax preparer, and insurance agent. Of all those paths, notary and document services were where I found my calling.

Over the years, I became the person clients called when they needed more than a signature. They needed someone who could locate a court record, coordinate documents from multiple states, navigate an apostille request, arrange a difficult notarization, or explain what comes next.

That experience shaped The Document Diva into the company it is today.

Why I Love What I Do

Paperwork often becomes most complicated when people are already dealing with something stressful, urgent, or deeply personal.

A family may need a power of attorney notarized at a hospital. An attorney may need a certified court record from another county. Someone living outside the United States may need documents apostilled in several states. A loved one may need a document notarized inside a detention facility.

Court & Public Record Retrieval

I retrieve certified and plain copies of court, recorder, and assessor records throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and San Diego counties.

Apostille & Authentication Services

I coordinate apostilles for documents issued in all 50 states, along with federal authentications and embassy legalization for U.S.-issued documents being used abroad. Clients with documents from multiple states can work through one point of contact.

Jail Notary Services

Professional jail notarizations are available at detention facilities throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and San Diego counties.

Specialty Notary Services

I provide professional mobile notarizations for trust and estate-planning documents, hospitals and nursing facilities, businesses, attorneys, fiduciaries, and individuals with important or time-sensitive paperwork.

Certified Translation Services

Certified translations are available for personal, legal, academic, and other official documents.
